I finally figured out what Obama’s campaign posters remind me of:
Why is he using cold war propaganda style posters?
I believe that the particular aesthetic was chosen, and not particuarly by the candidate but rather the artist, because they are high contrast and in turn difficult to ignore. That is one of the purposes of a poster that one would be drilled on if you were ever trained under the study of a Graphic Designer.
